Lake Fall Classic 4-mile Run

The Lakeview Academic Boosters proudly announces a new 4-mile road race, the Lake Fall Classic 4-mile Run. The race will be held Saturday, November 13th at Mosquito Lake State Park. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM and the race will start at 9:30 AM from the main boat launch area in Mosquito Lake State park. A race t-shirt is guaranteed to all pre-registered participants.

The race entry fee is $13 for pre-registration by October 28th and $17 on the day of the race. There is a $2 discount for all students. Hello fellow runners....

My son might run this this race, can you please tell me what the youngest age group is and award depth? I haven't been able to find that info anywhere else. Thanks so much

We were tentatively planning on top 2 in the following age groups; 15 and under, 16 - 20, then 10 year age groups from there. If we get a lot of younger runners, we will adjust. I have also had several questions on this from older runners, so we are taking the age groups out to 70. We have to take in consideration that the race is a benefit and there may not be a large number of runners in each age group since it is a new race.

Thanks for the reply....looks like a beautiful area. My youngest son is 6 years old and has run several 5k's this year, including a 24:20 and his PR of 23:36. He loves to race but I feel bad for him, his age group at most races are brutal...lol.

Hope you can make it so he can have a new PR at 4 miles! our kids started running very early also. If we don't add a lower age group, and he is our youngest runner, we will at least recognize that. Thanks.

3 days and counting, weather outlook is almost perfect and I am being told 35+ are pre-registered. I am looking forward to another great event put on by the Harris family. Come on out and run 4 miles for a good cause...

Yea, the weather looks great....and it looks like Garrett and I will be there too, although not preregistered. That is if he doesn't get the flu from me. I've had it the last two days but its eased up, and he hasn't had it yet so I'm keeping my fingers crossed he doesn't get it.

We ran the Habitat for Humanity Home Run 5k last sat. in Poland/Boardman. Garrett had a great race and finished with a time of 23:49...with some intense competition.

So hopefully, we will get to see you guys there and meet the members of the club. I may also have a buddy thats new to running, driving all the way up from Charleston Wv to run this race with us.

I want to take a minute to thank you all for putting on a nice little race. The course was great...laid out and marked well. The cookies were delicious, and cudos! to whoever took the time to make them.

What a wonderful run and a beautiful day........we had fun participating.
