Don't know if all caught this on the Ultra List, worth a repost:

Two and half hours into a five-hour run on the Catoctin Trail we arrived at our turnaround point not far from Camp David, tired, dirty, smelly and most definitely thirsty. Our bottles were drained. Our bellies growled for sugar. Fording a stream we headed for our super secret stash we left just a few hours ago in the pre-dawn darkness. Carefully tucked behind a downed tree, our taped shut cooler was full of cold liquid goodness: Coke, Gatorade, and water. We had covered the ice chest in leaves and branches. Rambo would be proud. Nobody would mess with our stuff.

“Dude, where’s the stash?” Art asked as he kicked at a leaf pile. “I left it right here,” Gavin said. Nope. Not here, or there, or over there. Gone. Zip. Nada. “Man, who would steal an old cooler full of drinks way out here?” I asked.

While scratching our heads in disbelief, a Park Ranger pulls up and stops to look us over. He does not look happy to see us. “Excuse me, have you seen a cooler full of drinks? We left it right here in the woods” I said. “Yes I have,” he says, as he gets out of the car. “Guys, don’t be doing that, leaving things out here.” “We saw you this morning in the woods and thought you were dropping drugs, or worse.” “We didn’t know what it was, all taped up and hidden.”

We now have a new name for our Catoctin running route: The Bomb Squad Turnaround.
