I am leaning heavily towards organizing a FA 50K of the Oil Creek 100 course this February.

Currently, my plan is the last Saturday in February, the 27th. I would like to start/finish near Titusville Middle School and the grocery store on the corner. Exact meeting place TBA later. Blue Canoe Brewery to refuel after the run.

Starting time: sunrise is at 6:57am so I am leaning towards a 7am or 7:30am start.

Course: follow the official Oil Creek 50K/100K/100M course.

Please use this thread to express your interest or offer any suggestions!

Nick

I am just starting to do some walking and maybe even a little running; I was wondering if there is something around a 25K that could take place on that day as well?

I like the 50K idea and will pencil it in. NEO Trail is behind it!

As far as a 25K you can run 2 loops of what was loop 4 for the OC 100. About 7+ miles per loop there are other options as well. With any FA run lots of options its up to you.

It is the distance. 50K is a lot for me on trails. February could be brutal. I would like to go, but I do not feel I am ready for 50K. Is there a shorter loop route, that starts and ends back where we want to be? Is there maps?

Stryder1 - If you do the "inner loop" and turn around at the Miller Farm Rd. bridge to head back to the start/finish it is approx. 14 miles.

Hey Nick and Kim....I'd be interested in the run, depending on weather. I'll stay tuned to see where this is going. Best to you both!
