On Saturday August 13th we will have the 2011 YUTC Volunteer Run.
This enables all volunteers to get the 50K in if they are interested in covering the course.

This group run will also enable all 50K/25K Participants to get a view of the course prior to race day.

We will target an 8:00 AM Start at the Log Cabin.
See race website for parking info.

Any questions, please ask.

So who all is running?

Me, Slim, Rich, Moose?

The restrooms will be open at the CB, so there will be water available.

I'm going with an early start. Starting at 4:45 with a stop in the parking area around 6:15 and then joining the group at 8.

Todd, I am also starting early, but just a bit before you.
What were your plans for loops?

I was thinking the big YUTC loop and then the short YUTC loop.
Then doing the big YUTC loop again with the group at 8:00.
I didn't think I could go that far in just 3:15.
Maybe we could meet at the CB around 5:30?

Slim,
My plan was to do 2 big YUTC loops with no Big Bear and no Lily pond loop. Figured about 1-1/2 hour each. Then hook up with group and follow their lead. I'm flexible and willing to adjust time and distance.

I'm thinking of coming. I assume this is FA style/bring your own aid?

Sounds like even those who are staring early are meeting up at the log cabin at 8?

That is an aggressive Pace Todd.
There is no way that I can do 12 YUTC miles in 90 minutes.
Especially in the dark.
Go ahead and do your thing and I will be a little more casual in my effort.
My best effort for a loop at URINEO was roughly 90 minutes, and my best ever for a URINEO single loop was 74 minutes.

I plan on a 12 mile loop and then an 8 mile loop.
Then at 8:00 lead a 12 mile loop again for the 50K for the day.

Paul, you are correct in that this is bring your own aid.
There is a water fountain at the Covered Bridge, so effectively water every 4 miles and then your vehicle at the Log Cabin.

Slim,
Sorry, I should have described better. Meant 2 of the 8 mile loops. Not looking for a blistering pace. I'm up for a 12 and an 8 then hook up with the group. What time you starting?

Was thinking 4:00 AM or so.
That would leave 4 hours for the 20 miles.
About 12 min miles or so.
I think that is doable.
