NEO Trail Club

We will be having the volunteer run/course familiarization run on August 4, time TBA. Meet at the small parking lot by the Log Cabin.

We still need some volunteers for the race. I could use some help at the Start/Finish Log Cabin AS. More help means less work=more fun.

8 am will be the start time for the August 4th run. Meet at the little parking lot just above the Log Cabin.

Same format as last year for the Course Familiarization Run.
8:00 AM depart the Log Cabin following course to the Covered Bridge.
Then ONE loop around Lake Newport to end up back at the Covered Bridge. (race day will involve that you do TWO loops of Lake Newport)
Then finish the route heading to the Log Cabin for approx 12 miles for the day.

Water fountain is available at the Covered Bridge.
Longest section between water is 4 miles.
Random restroom facilities are available through out the park.
I will be course sweep and assist everyone in the back of the pack ensuring that we are on course and that no one gets left behind.
Have not confirmed that we will have someone who will lead the parade from the front for anyone who needs to be done quickly.
Will have refreshments and Pizza available when the group returns to the Log Cabin.

There will be early starters who will be running more than the group run of 12 miles.
If you need an earlier start or are looking for more miles for the day, post here looking for someone to lead you around the park if you are unfamiliar with the route the race takes through the park.

Planning a 4am start to get one Newport and 2 Covered Bridge loops in before group meets at 8.

Will be out running early and then will time my loops to be at the Log Cabin at 8:00 AM for the group start.

I'll probably get there at the scheduled start time and run a Newport loop plus another short loop to the Mill.
